Vapour-pressure table: source and roundingResolved

The vapour-pressure table gives 611.2 Pa at 0 °C but the lead gives the triple point as 611.657 Pa. Those are different quantities — the triple point is a defined value, the 0 °C figure is the saturation vapour pressure of ice at exactly 0 °C — but a reader will read them as the same number rounded inconsistently. Worth a footnote. — SigFigSindri (talk) 14:18, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

Correct, and they genuinely differ: the triple point is at 0.01 °C, not 0 °C. I have added the temperature to the lead sentence so the distinction is visible. Also confirmed the table against Murphy and Koop rather than a secondary handbook. — ColdChainCleo (talk) 16:44, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

That resolves it. The ratio column is a nice touch — it makes the steepness argument without the reader having to divide. ✓ DoneSigFigSindri (talk) 08:02, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

Resolved. This thread is closed. Reopening it is fine if new sources appear; please add a new subsection rather than editing the closed discussion.
