This article is linked from every supplier article on the wiki. Changes to what it says a certificate establishes should be checked against those articles, which rely on the distinction it draws.

This is the discussion page for the article Certificate of analysis. It is for improving the article: sources, wording, structure, scope and titles. It is not a general discussion forum about the subject, and it is not a place to ask for advice — see Project:Medical disclaimer.

Should the requested-items list be numbered?Resolved

The four items to request are a numbered list, which implies an order. Is the order meaningful, or should it be bulleted? HyphenHarriet (talk) 10:08, 11 June 2025 (UTC)

Meaningful. Gradient and column chemistry are useless without each other and come first; wavelength qualifies both; water and content are a separate question that only matters once the first three are settled. Numbered is right. Retention_Time_Rae (talk) 15:26, 11 June 2025 (UTC)

Then a clause saying so would help, and I have added one. ✓ Resolved HyphenHarriet (talk) 08:19, 12 June 2025 (UTC)

Resolved. This thread is closed. Reopening it is fine if new sources appear; please add a new subsection rather than editing the closed discussion.
