The 28-day rule is being cited as a stability figureResolved
Four articles now say a reconstituted vial is "stable for 28 days" and cite this one. The 28-day period is a microbiological practice rule and says nothing whatever about chemical stability. Our lead makes the distinction, but evidently not loudly enough to survive being summarised elsewhere. — — BUD_Bertram (talk) 10:18, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
The distinction should be in the first sentence of the section that gives the number, not only in the lead, because that is the section people quote from. I have added it there. It is also worth stating the converse — that a preparation may lose potency well before 28 days with the preservative performing perfectly — because that is the case people are actually at risk from. — — EndotoxinEd (talk) 13:52, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
