Residue numbering — (7–36) versus (1–30)Resolved

Two secondary sources cited in the lead renumber the active peptide from its own N-terminus, giving GLP-1 (1–30). Our infobox uses the proglucagon-relative numbering. We should say explicitly which convention the article follows, because a reader comparing our sequence positions against a paper using the other convention will conclude we have an error. — — MolarMassMaeve (talk) 11:14, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Agreed, and the conventional numbering is the one to keep: essentially the whole primary literature uses it. A sentence at the end of §Discovery and nomenclature would do it. — — IncretinIvo (talk) 13:40, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
